Approval of Form Of Development:

CD-1 (744) - 5130-5170 Cambie Street - DP-2018-00865

Background:

At a Public Hearing on March 13, 2018, City Council approved a rezoning of this site from RS-1 (one-family dwelling) to Comprehensive Development District (CD-1).  Council also approved in principle, the form of development for these lands. 

The site is located on the east side of Cambie Street in-between West 35th Avenue and West 37th Avenue, closest intersection being Cambie Street and West 35th Avenue.  

Subsequent to Council’s approval of the CD-1 rezoning, the Director of Planning approved Development Application Number DP-2018-00865.  This approval was subject to various conditions, including Council’s approval of the form of development.  The latter condition is one of the few outstanding prior to issuance.

 

The Motion is therefore recommended to Council on May 26, 2020.

Motion:

THAT the form of development for this portion of the site known as 5130-5170 Cambie Street be approved generally as illustrated in the Development Application Number DP-2018-00865, prepared by GBL Architects Inc., received by Community Services Group, Development Services, on March 27, 2020, provided that the Director of Planning may impose conditions and approve design changes which would not adversely affect either the development character of the site or adjacent properties.
