Update: Development Permit Board Decision November 6, 2017 - REFUSED
Merrick Architecture on behalf of Beedie Living has applied to develop this site. The proposal includes the following:
• 9 storey mixed use building;
• 111 residential units;
• commercial uses at grade, including a seniors’ cultural space; and
• three levels of underground parking accessed from the lane.
Under the site’s existing HA-1A zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted; however, it requires the decision of the Development Permit Board.
A Community open house was held from 5:00 - 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 5 , 2017, at Chinese Cultural Centre Auditorium, 50 East Pender Street with the applicant team and City staff available to answer any questions.
This application has been scheduled for the Development Permit Board on October 30 , 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room (1st Floor, City Hall, 453 West 12th Avenue). Development Permit Board decision deferred to November 6, 2017 at 5:00 pm in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
