Five West Hastings Holding Ltd. has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to renovate this vacant municipally designated heritage and SRA designated building, in conjunction with a Council approved SRA conversion permit to allow:
- Renovations and reconfiguration of the existing 31 vacant rooms to provide new washrooms and cooking facilities within the units;
- Outdoor amenity roof deck;
- Creation of new retail space in the basement level;
- 5 units secured for 30 years at shelter rates;
- 50% of remaining units to be made available to tenants eligible for rent supplements;
- Heritage façade rehabilitation.
We welcome your written comments (letter or e-mail) on this development application. Comments should be received on, or before May 29, 2015, to be considered in the staff review. However, comments will be considered up until the date of decision.

In reviewing this application, and before making a decision, the Director of Planning will also need to consider City by-law regulations, and Council-adopted policies and guidelines.
