Henriquez Partners Architects has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop this site with a 11-storey mixed-use building. The proposal includes the following:


• 214 rental dwelling units (80 social housing units /134 secured market rental units);
• commercial uses on the ground floor and cabaret underground;
• 15,188 sq. m. (163,482 sq. ft.) of floor area;
• building height of 33.5 m (110 ft.); and
• bicycle parking.


Under the site’s existing HA-2 zoning, the application is “conditional” so it may be permitted; however, it requires the decision of the Development Permit Board.  This application has now been unscheduled for the Development Permit Board .

We welcome your written comments (letter or e-mail) on this development application. Comments should be received on, or before July 12 , 2016, to be considered in the staff review. However, comments will be considered up until the date of decision.

A community open house was held from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Woodwards Atrium at 111 West Hastings Street with the applicant team and City staff available to answer any questions.

In reviewing this application, and before making a decision, the Development Permit Board will also need to consider City by-law regulations, and Council-adopted policies and guidelines.
